In 1979, ISKA (Nigerian word meaning "the wind") became the first jazz quartet led by Lee. In 1987 Lee and ISKA recorded a live session at The Balcony in Shadyside entitled "Motif".

Currently, Lee’s group ISKA showcases some of the region's most innovative
musicians. For more than 35 years Lee Robinson & ISKA have been blending his improvisation stylings with funk, fusion, original, contemporary and classical jazz.
